This cable connects the master-side hand to the slave-side tong, enabling the gripping feature of the manipulator. Two-piece tong-to-handle cables, one of EMW’s quality-of-life improvements on the original design, an idea born of 20+ years of experience working in nuclear medicine. It is our experience that, in a master/split configuration, three master cables are broken for every slave cable, reducing the number of manipulator pulls required by 2/3rds and simplifying maintenance.
This set includes:
(1) Master tong-to-handle cable
(1) Slave tong-to-handle cable
Cable lengths are not standardised in this manufacturer’s models, so please attach your cable length and serial number in the provided field during check-out. For this set, please attach the length of your one-piece tong-to-handle cable, so we can calculate the lengths of the new split cables.
All of our cable crimps are tested to 100 pounds of pull before being shipped.
